Rules and Regulations
1. General
1.1 By entering The Skin Games sponsored by The Extraordinary Esthetician, participants accept and agree to be bound by these Official Rules. Any violation of these rules may, at Sponsor's discretion, result in disqualification. All decisions of the judges regarding this competition are final and binding in all respects.
1.2 The Extraordinary Esthetician reserves the right to disqualify any participant based on a decision made by the panel of judges.
1.3 This contest is void where prohibited by law.
1.4 Participants understand and acknowledge that this is a competition for licensed estheticians and is not responsible or liable for any injury or health related problems resulting from participation in the contest. Participants are encouraged to seek the advice of trained medical professionals. People with heart conditions, diabetes, history of health problems, and pregnant women should consult their physicians. Participants release and hold harmless The Extraordinary esthetician, its principles, and employees, for any harm or injury resulting from participation in this contest.
2. Eligibility and Rules
2.1 Participants must be licensed in their state or country of residence and that license must be valid and not expired.
2.2 Participant must abide by the laws governing the state or country in which they practice.
2.3 Participant may seek the advice of “other skincare professionals” with a valid license from the state of residence. If said Entrant is a winner of any prize, only said Entrant will receive said prize.
2.4 Participants cannot switch models during competition timeframe, however, the participant can adjust treatment protocols to achieve desired results.
2.5 Participant is responsible for all travel and or expenses incurred while participating in “The Skin Games” with the exception of (1) complimentary admission ticket to the Live Show.
2.6 Participant agrees that the Extraordinary Esthetician may use any information submitted (including likeness and image) for its marketing purposes. Participants further agree that all treatment protocols and photos are the final property of “The Extraordinary Esthetician”, participants further agree to extend publishing rights to the “The Extraordinary Esthetician et al”, whereby their treatment protocols and photos will be published at a later date determined by the “The Extraordinary Esthetician”.
2.7 Participant models must be at least 18 years of age or a signed release form from a guardian.
2.8 Participants and Models are responsible for all expenses incurred while participating in “The Skin Games”
2.9 Model further agrees to hold harmless The Extraordinary Esthetician et al, its sponsors, vendors, and/or contractors.
2.10 Models agrees that the Extraordinary Esthetician may use any information submitted (including likeness and image) for its marketing purposes. Models further agree that all treatment protocols and photos are the final property of “The Extraordinary Esthetician”, models further agree to extend publishing rights to the “The Extraordinary Esthetician et al”, whereby their treatment protocols and photos will be published at a later date determined by the “The Extraordinary Esthetician”.
2.11 Models understand that no monetary compensation will be given for participation in “The Skin Games”
2.12 Participant agrees that all results of the judges are final.
2.13 Participant agrees to disclose all home care products used throughout competition time frame.

3. How to Enter
3.1 Submit completed registration entry form with photos and video of selected model for the category in which they choose to enter by the required deadline. Signed Model Release Form must accompany registration entry forms and final entry forms missing information will be deemed invalid.
3.2 Photo ID and Esthetician license are required to complete registration and final entry.
3.3 Entrants represent and warrant that their submissions are truthful, is the original treatment protocols of such entrant, has not been copied from others, and it does not violate the rights of any other person or entity.
3.4 Participants may enter more than one category, they must, however, pay a separate registration fee for each additional entry. All entrant information, including e-mail addresses, is subject to the respective Privacy Policy of the applicable Sponsor.
3.5 The Skin Games categories are as follows:
• Best New Esthetician (licensed 2 years or less * some exceptions may apply)
• Acne/problematic skin
• Hyperpigmentation
• Age Management
• Open - Medicall
• Holistic
• Makeup Click link for Make up Challenge rules
• Compassionate Click link for Compassionate rules
• Student Click link for Student Category rules.
3.6 Participants further acknowledge and warrant that their submissions are truthful, is the original treatment protocols of such entrant, has not been copied from others, and does not violate the rights of any other person or entity.
3.7 Expired license will automatically disqualify Entrant.
3.8 Contest ends TBD. Final entry forms (completed at end of challenge) must be submitted with photos and videos by TBD.
3.9 Registration Fee is non-refundable
3.10 No entry will be accepted without full payment.
4. Before and After Photos and Video Diary
4.1 Participants must take “before” photos of their model on the start date and “after” photos on the end date of their 8 week treatment. Each before and after photo set must contain 3 photos, one front view and one of each side (profile) view. Each photo must have the model holding a major newspaper with the date visible. The actual date on newspaper must be within 3 days of the photo.
4.2 Participants must have full rights to photos submitted. Upon submission, you give The Extraordinary Esthetician rights to use these photos and likeness at the sole discretion of The Extraordinary Esthetician et al for marketing purposes.
4.3 Photo Requirements:

Photos must be in JPG or PNG format.

Photos must be original and unedited.
4.4 Participant must submit a weekly video diary of their model’s treatment and progress. The first video must have you introducing your model and a discussion of what you are treating. The final video must show your model and include a summary of your case study, and discussion of how you got your results. All videos must be less than two minutes in length and uploaded to the Video Upload page on The Skin Games website.
4.5 The Extraordinary Esthetician et al and The Skin Games are not responsible for any internet transmission problems or issues and will not be held liable for late or misdirected online submissions.
5. Winner Selection and Notification
5.1 All participant entries will be judged and ten finalists will be selected in each of The Skin Games categories by TBD. (except for the Compassionate and makeup Category.) Judging will be based solely on the participant’s photos, videos, and information submitted by the contest deadline of TBD.
5.2 Final judging of the finalists will be held at TSG Live Show, by a panel of judges. Finalists must attend the Live Show to be considered for an award. The TSG Live Show is to be held in TBD. Exact time and place To Be Determined.
5.3 Finalists will be interviewed by a panel of judges at the Live Show. Interview questions to remain confidential. Judges will be screened and put through a verification process by the Esthetics Council.
5.4 Judge scoring will be based on the following criteria:

Quality of results achieved over the 8 week period

Participants understanding of the skin type and skin condition being treated

Participants ability to explain treatment protocols

Participants knowledge of ingredients used

Documentation of results achieved over the 8 week period

Adequacy of photos and videos

Adherence to contest rules

Scoring information is confidential and proprietary and will not be released. Decisions of the judges are final. Judges will be screened and put through a verification process by the Esthetics Council.

Winners will be announced at the TSG Live Show to be held (To Be Decided)
6. Participant Prizes
6.1 Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
6.2 The winners of each category will be published and featured in Skin Inc. Magazine and receive a Crystal Trophy. Each finalist will receive a plaque and player bag filled with prizes from our sponsors.
