THE SKIN GAMES (TSG) will hold one live Make-up CHALLENGE qualification for finalists at each of the  Face & Body Shows across the country or through the online submission process.

 

The competitors will register online at TheSkinGames.com

 

Competitors will pick one of the following categories:

  • Corrective Makeup

  • Bridal

  • Avant Garde

  • Best New Makeup Artist 

  • Online Submission

Overall Competition Rules

To enter, each competitor must sign and submit an official entry registration. The competition entry fee is $110.00 which includes one complimentary ticket for Skin Inc's Face and Body Show and The Skin Games Live Show on June 15 -16, 2019. By submitting an application, the competitor agrees to abide by the rules and decisions of the competition committee and judges.

Submission Deadline is May 31, 2019

 

The Skin Games Challenge at Face & Body Show  Rules

  1. Each competitor can submit one model only.

  2. No assistants will be permitted. The competitor must apply all makeup.

  3. All models must be 18 years of age or older or have a parental consent form signed.

  4. All models and competitors must sign a TSG release form giving permission for photos and videos to be used by The Skin Games. All photos are the property of TSG.

  5. Models must arrive with a clean face (no-makeup). If models arrive with makeup on it is required that it is removed prior to the start of the competition.

  6. All models must be dressed/costumed appropriately, with no exposure of body parts. The use of any clothing, tattooing, writing or piercing that is graphic/inappropriate in nature is not allowed. Failure to comply will lead to disqualification.

  7. No electronic devices or cell phone/email/texting/photo usage will be allowed during the competition.

  8. Competitors are not allowed to touch their models once seated in the competition area until directed by the competition chairman.

  9. Competitors and models may not leave the competition area after the competition has started and may only be excused by the competition chairman. Anyone found leaving without permission will be disqualified.

  10. It is the responsibility of each competitor to secure and furnish his or her female or male model, tools and any necessary supplies, at his or his expense.

  11. Conversation between Competitor(s) and model is limited. The only conversation allowed is if the Competitor(s) need to ask the model to reposition themselves for application or styling purposes.

  12. No talking to spectators.

  13. If there is coaching from the audience for any competitor the competitor will have points deducted from the score and face possible disqualification.

  14. Competitors arriving after the start of the competition will not be allowed to compete.

  15. Penalty points may be assessed during the contest time and will affect the judge’s score

  16. All competitors must supply their own kit.

  17. All makeup created for The Skin Games competition must be the original work of the Competitor.

  18. All makeup artist registering for the Best New Makeup Artist will have 2 years or less of working experience.

The Skin Games Challenge International Online Rules
​

Competitors may register for an online version of The Skin Games Makeup Challenge.  Competitors must register with THE SKIN GAMES and pick a makeup category. Participants may enter more than one category, they must, however, pay a separate registration fee for each additional entry.

4.  Before and After Photos and Video Diary

 

4.1  Participants must take “before” photos of their model without makeup and  “after” photos after makeup application is complete  Each before and after photo set must contain 3 photos, one front view and one of each side (profile) view.  Each photo must be taken without any filters or photo touch-ups. 

 

4.2  Participants must have full rights to photos submitted. Upon submission, you give The Extraordinary Esthetician rights to use these photos and likeness at the sole discretion of The Extraordinary Esthetician et al for marketing purposes.

 

4.3  Photo Requirements:

 

  • Photos must be in JPG or PNG format.

  • Photos must be original and unedited.

 

4.4  Participant must submit 4 videos of their application and progress. The first video must have you introducing your model and a discussion of what you planning. The second video will show your blending technique. The third video will show your application technique. The final video must show your model and include a summary of your  how you got your results.  All videos must be less than two minutes in length and uploaded to the Video Upload page on The Skin Games website.

 

4.5  The Extraordinary Esthetician et al and The Skin Games are not responsible for any internet transmission problems or issues and will not be held liable for late or misdirected online submissions.

The first video will be an introductory one.

THE SKIN GAMES judges will review and choose finalists from all on-line submissions.

Finalists will be notified and invited to the June 15-16, 2019 THE SKIN GAMES LIVE SHOW in Las vegas, NV where they will compete in the final judging against all other finalists from the FACE & BODY shows.  

This International Online Category is open to competitors from anywhere in the world, including the USA.
